November 22, 2021.- The implementation of the Greentegra transformational strategy by AES Andes continues to pay dividends, such as the recognition for being a leading company in corporate governance and investor relations in Chile, in accordance with the Sustainable Leaders Agenda (ALAS20), organized by the multinational consulting company GOVERNART.
The ALAS20 ranking is a Hispanic American initiative that assesses, qualifies and fully recognizes excellence in the public disclosure of information on sustainable development, corporate governance, and responsible investments by companies and investors based in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico and Peru.
In terms of corporate governance, AES Andes was sixth in Chile, while in the investor relations category it was fifth.
When she thanked for this distinction, María Paz Cerda, VP of Legal Affairs for AES Andes, stated that “the positive results obtained by the Company reflect the contribution of our Greentegra strategy and how our discipline in anticipation, execution, and proactive and transparent communication with the market are recognized and valued.”
The executive stressed that “the recognition is mainly due to the commitment and work of excellence that our employees carry out on a daily basis”.
The above is in addition to the recent incorporation of AES Andes, for the seventh year in a row, in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Chile, which brings together Chilean leaders in governance, environment and social issues.
In addition, the Company has been included for the third consecutive year in the Latin American Integrated Market Index (MILA) that measures corporate market performance in the Pacific Alliance countries.
Meanwhile, last July the Institutional Investor’s 2021 Latin American Executive Team recognized AES Andes as one of the top positions in every category in its class.
In this recognition, the Company took the first place as Best ESG, a category that brings together environmental, social and corporate governance factors, and Best Crisis Management amid COVID-19 among all electricity companies and other public utilities in Latin America.
